Kundalini yoga is a combination of specific kriyas and meditation aimed at raising the kundalini energy. Each kundalini class begins with a chant to ‘tune in’ to the divine wisdom within. This is followed by a warmup for the spine.
he main part of the class is the kriyas, which combine postures and breathing techniques. Kundalini yoga has repetitive active poses done for a specific amount of time focused on the spinal and core health. We end with various chanting meditations. They are specifically designed for healing of the body, mind and spirit. We will sing/chant a mantra like Sa Ta Na Ma in each class. Chanting is fun and therapeutic! These Kriyas are designed to focus on moving congested energy in the body. Each Kriya has specific movements, designed to stimulate the chakra system and meridians in the body to promote health and healing in the mind, body, and spirit. There will be a minimum requirement of two participants to hold class. Class will be cancelled two hours before. Beginners to moderate – modifications will be taught to accommodate your body’s ability. |
